{recipe} Asian Spiced Walnuts

Asian Spiced Walnuts by OooshaThis recipe from {Amy Levin of Ooosha} is so simple but SO INTERESTING and fun! It would be brilliant to add to the top of any yummy salad (especially an Asian-inspired salad!!) or to just have as a snack.

INGREDIENTS
200g Walnuts
2 tbsp black sesame seeds
2 tbsp wasabi powder
1 tbsp tamari*
2 tbsp maple or agave syrup*
2 tbsp nori flakes
1 tsp Himalayan crystal salt*
1 tbsp coconut sugar (powdered)

SUBSTITUTION NOTES
*Just a ‘lil note from Eva that you could potentially substitute these ingredients for a few alternatives. Tamari could be substituted with coconut aminos, a truly raw soy alternative. Agave nectar or maple syrup could be substituted with coconut nectar, also a raw alternative. Himalayan salt is awesome, but if not available in your area could easily be substituted with any unprocessed sea salt.

INSTRUCTIONS
In a bowl combine all ingredients except wasabi powder, and mix to combine. Sprinkle wasabi powder evenly over the walnuts, and mix to combine. Spread nuts onto a dehydrator tray lined with Teflexx sheets. Dehydrate 12-16 hours, and flip onto mesh tray. Continue to dehydrate 10 hours or until crisp.

STORAGE NOTE
Store in an airtight container.
