INGREDIENTS
1 part Orange Juice
1 part Carrot Juice
A touch of lemon or lime
A teensy pinch of sea salt
A bit of water (optional, I skip it)
INSTRUCTIONS
Just juice and combine! Only thing is that you’ll need 2 juicers for this. (I know, I know, 2 things to clean. More on that in a sec!)
SOME TIDBITS FOR YA
I have the WARING PRO JUICER (FOR CARROTS ETC.), which is a fabulous centrifugal juicer that works well for carrots, celery, cucumbers, and other “hard” veggies but not so great for wheatgrass or other greens. I got it on Amazon 3 or so years ago for maybe $50. Nothing like the pricetag you’ll find on many raw foodies’ juicers, but I’m still loving it.
(It’s even been through a hammer [long story] yet going strong.)
Why I like it? It’s easy to clean. Which is great for those of us who don’t have the patience or desire to clean, dry, and assemble 67 juicer parts.
And my CITRUS JUICER of choice is a Black and Decker model that works from limes up to grapefruits. I got it for maybe $20 at That Place I No Longer Shop At (starts with a “w”) and has been chugging along for ages.
I usually make a ton of this because it flies. People LOVED it at the raw bed and breakfast, when I had it at the breakfast hour. So cleaning the 2 machines was no big thing.
If you have some large glass bottles (think San Pellegrino bottles for a cheap and easy-to-find solution) and a funnel, you can keep this for a day or so in the fridge. Just give it a shake before serving it up.

This sounds wonderful. I have been taken to jamba juice a couple times (because that is where people take you when you’re diet is “extreme” and they don’t know where else to go), and I’ve ordered their carrot juice with bananas blended into it…
But orange and carrot? Sounds genius!

P.S. Do you have a Sweet Tomatoes where you live? It’s nothing like a raw restaurant, but they have an all-you-can-eat salad bar with a pretty decent selection. I ended up going there quite a lot in Florida. Everyone was happy. But truth be told… everyone would be just as happy at a raw restaurant. The things they offer these days are so DECADENT!!

[...] FOR FOOD, FUN, & FLAVOR! Carrots have a very distinct flavor that is part sweet, part savory. There are SO many raw uses for carrots. Shredded carrots make a great addition to a salad (think: color + sweetness!), and many people love fresh carrot juice. Hmmm… {carrot juice}… [...]
I LOVE this combination! It sounds like it would be a bit weird but it’s lovely. I feel more hydrated just looking at the ingredients and picture. haha!
