{raw vegan recipe} Date Paste

Credit to “Sweet Gratitude” for this idea, although this is my own personal method of creating date paste. :-)

2 cups medjool (or other soft) dates, PITTED!!
1 cup water, or as needed to turn


  1. Soak dates in water for 10 minutes or even up to several hours (in the fridge), as long as is needed to soften the dates. DO NOT discard the soak water!
  2. Be sure all pits have been removed!
  3. Blend the soak water and dates together until smooth and creamy but still very thick and rich. Add water as needed.
