All the delicious details and this drink come to us from the lovely Rebecca Kane.
Everyone knows that Greens are the best… But are you getting enough?
Here’s a simple, yet delicious, way to increase the shine and sparkle in your day…
For a truly refreshing drink at any time of the day, but I particularly love this one for breakfast, you will need:
INGREDIENTS
- 3 apples
- 1 lemon
- 2 cups of Curly Kale
- 3 sticks of Celery
EQUIPMENT
- Juicer
INSTRUCTIONS
Put all fresh ingredients through a juicer and serve over ice.
Don’t be put off by the curly kale, I was for ages, in fact on three different occasions I brought a bag of kale to make a juice with – only for each of them to go off in my fridge… Now I drink this juice on a daily basis – It’s delicious!
Helps to know
The sweetness of the apples and the sharpness of the lemon totally disguises the green taste of the kale and this really does taste like lemonade!!
No excuses now not to get your greens….
Juicy Tip
Fresh fruit and vegetables are considered ‘live’ foods because they are full of their natural goodness such as anti oxidants, enzymes and phytonutrients, and no doubt other nutrients yet to be discovered. By juicing your fruit and vegetables you can easily increase your intake of these benefits. This is especially useful for your greens, initially many people find the taste of greens ‘too strong’, but this can be easily disguised by other ingredients such as apple.
