NOTE FROM EVA: This recipe is my own, which means you are welcome to share it with your friends, on the internet, with your family. I would love to see you pass it around. But please, do give me credit and use the quick blurb right below the recipe.
.5 cup blueberries
1.5 frozen bananas
.5 cup apple juice (2 apples)
1 teaspoon lemon juice
.5 cup ice
.5 cup water
1/ Juice the apples, then blend all ingredients until smooth.
2/ Add more ice and/or water if you would prefer a change in the temperature or consistency.
3/ Plop about .5 cup blueberries in each glass. Enjoy a bit in every sip!
4/ Enjoy right away, if possible!
If you don’t have a juicer, you have one of at least three options:
- Skip the apple juice, and add a bit more of the water and another half banana.
- Put 2 cored apples and .5 cup water in a blender until well blended. Strain with a nut milk bag, fine mesh strainer, cheese cloth, or something similar.
- Include 1 cored, chopped apple, a little more lemon juice, another half banana, and a little more ice and/or water. The taste will be a bit different, but still refreshing with a touch of sweet.
If you will be storing this for any amount of time, it will look a little funny because of the fiber content. If you put it into a glass bottle, you can just give it a good shake before you drink the rest.
