{raw vegan recipe} Lush Lemon Lavender Libation

This superbly refreshing lemonade-like recipe comes to us from {Natalia KW}. I didn’t add the mint leaves (didn’t have any on hand) but used fresh lavender from my garden and totally loved this one!! It’s SO WARM today that it’s the perfect perfect drink to cool off. I can’t believe it’s two days before Christmas, and yet it’s almost 80 degrees out here in north Florida today! Crazy!

If it’s warm where you are too, this is a MUST TRY! :-)

serves 10

For the Lavender Lemon Juice
* 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
* 3 tablespoons

Soak lavender in lemon juice for 4 hours. Once done, the color is unbelievable! Strain. Save the lavender for garnishing.

For the Candy Lemon Syrup

  • 1 cup raw honey
  • 1/2 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoons lemon zest

Blend honey, lemon juice and zest to create your syrup.

To Serve

  • 40 oz sparkling water
  • 40 mint leaves, crushed
  • the remaining lavender buds from the lavender lemon juice, for garnishing
  • lemon slices, for garnish
  • lots of ice

Per serving, fill a 12 oz glass with ice. Add in 4 crushed mint leaves. Cover with 4 oz of sparkling water. Stir in 2 tablespoons candy lemon syrup. Top with 2 teaspoons lavender lemon juice and let your guests mix their own so they can see the beautiful layered color effect. Garnish with a few lavender buds and a slice of lemon. Watch your guests sip in bliss!
