If it’s winter where you are, know that this drink — even without warming it — actually causes the body to warm thanks to the warming ginger root! Thank you Miss Rebecca Kane for this year-round comforting drink!
Even during this time of year with temperatures well below freezing you can drink a juice and feel its warmth.
INGREDIENTS
* Apples
* Cinnamon
* Ginger (optional but gives extra warmth)
EQUIPMENT
* Juicer
INSTRUCTIONS
* Place the apples and ginger through the juicer
* Add a sprinkle of cinnamon to taste and stir
Helps to know
There are over 2000 varieties of apples, try different types and different combinations of apples to add variety to your juices.
Juicy Tip
Some apples when juiced give quite a ‘thick juice’, if this is the case I like to pass the juice through a nut milk bag or muslin cloth as this gives a much ‘cleaner/clearer’ juice.
