So maybe we’re sharing this in February, but since we’ve dedicated this week to being a Olive Fest, we have the option to enjoy some Spooky Cookies if we want! HOW COOL IS IT that Olive has this great idea on how to easily make the spider webs on the cookies! BRILLIANT, I tell you. BRILLIANT!
By the way… If you don’t want to be spooked out, make hearts or stars or whatever you like with the frosting! May as well have fun with it.

INGREDIENTS (FOR SPIDERWEB FROSTING)
- 1/4 c Cashews
- 1 tbls Agave Nectar
- 2 tsp Coconut Oil, melted
- 1 tsp Filtered Water
INSTRUCTIONS (FOR SPIDERWEB FROSTING)
In a Magic Bullet using the flat blade or in a blender, blend all the ingredients until completely smooth. Empty into a plastic bag and let harden in the fridge while you make the Double Chocolate Chip Cookies.
INGREDIENTS (FOR DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES)
- 2/3 c Walnuts
- 2/3 c Dates
- 3 tbls Cacao Powder
- 3 tbls Cacao Nibs (this will provide the chocolate chip crunch)
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla Powder
INSTRUCTIONS (FOR DOUBLE CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES)
In a food processor, process the walnuts, then add the dates and after add the rest of the ingredients. Roll the dough into 1 1/2 tbls size balls and form into cookie shapes.
To frost, cut/poke a tiny 1 mm hole in the plastic bag. With a steady hand, frost 3 cross lines across the cookie that all meet in the middle. Then add 2-3 circles to resemble cobwebs over the top of the crossed lines. For safe storage, face cookies side by side so as to not destroy the cobweb frosting.
Makes 16-18 cookies

Re: chocolate cookies Hi I am curious if canola oil would work in place of coconut oil. While trying to eat cleaner there are some things I cannot use. Coconut oil is way to high in satur
ated fat for someone trying to lower their cholesterol!!! (like myself
. )
Cheri, Wow, great question… All right… Here is the thing about oils like canola oil. It may seem to be much better when you look at the numbers, but it is simply not a healthy oil. Cholesterol is not so simple as the number of saturated fat. Sometimes “good” fats (like in cold-pressed olive oil and coconut oil) can clean out the “bad” fats in your body. It’s the craziest thing.
It truly makes no sense when you’re looking at the numbers, but the wonderful thing is that natural foods work magic in our bodies.
Obviously nothing on this site is meant to serve as Official Medical Advise, of course…
But if you are not already drinking a LITER of GREEN SMOOTHIES every day, I would recommend trying that. If you search “green smoothie” in the search box at the top, you will find some great info on green smoothies.
A quick note re: a study Victoria Boutenko did on green smoothies in Roseburg, Oregon… She had 27 people keep their diets the SAME as usual for 30 days except the green smoothies.
And would ya know it? 100% of people had truly positive results, MANY lowering cholesterol and blood pressure, as well as losing weight even though they were not restricting calories or exercising more!
I hope that is a help to you. Any other questions — or clarification — I welcome you to ask away!
xxo Eva
