Sunny Better-Than-Tequila MargaritaThis recipe was a HIT and sooo easy to make. I really hope you will try it. The warm weather is coming up now, so you can enjoy this drink all summer.

In any case, this picture is from a “Mexican Fiesta” I hosted. I called it a “Fiesta without the Need for a Siesta.” Because I had a friend ask, I’ll just tell you what it means… a party with no need for a nap! Reason #647 I love raw food. Eat good food but don’t need to nap. Perfect.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1.5 cups pineapple chunks
  • 2 limes, peeled and seeds removed (or juiced)
  • 2 nectarines, peeled and seeds removed (or juiced)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • Dash cayenne
  • Dash sea salt
  • 2 c ice
  • .5 c water

INSTRUCTIONS
Blend and serve with sea salt on the rims if desired.

HOW TO SALT THE RIM
(Thanks to my friend Melissa for the details on this one!)

Cut a small piece of lime. Use that to rub the lime juice around the rim of the glass. Dip the wet rim in a small bowl filled with sea salt so that the edge of the glass becomes covered with the salt.
