My body was tired. Go figure! Not a normal occurrence, and not one I was thrilled about. I had to take action.
I looked in the fridge and basil SCREAMED at me! “Eat me!” So did the sunflower sprouts, which I usually throw on top of a salad.
ONE SIP of this thing, and I knew it was going to be a good drink. I could FEEL the vibrance already pulsating through my veins. No joke.
I’m not going to mislead ya, though. The flavor wasn’t like eating a chocolate sundae. This thing tasted healthy, which I enjoyed (and actually thought was insanely delicious!) interestingly enough! But consider yourself warned!
2 cups basil (weight is 2.5 ounces)
2 cups sunflower sprouts
1 Tbsp spirulina (or other green powder)
3 Tbsp carob powder
1 Tbsp maca
1 Tbsp lucuma
2 1/2 cups frozen strawberries (weight is 8 ounces)
1 cup water
Blend! Bonus points for saving a sprout for garnish.
