This raw kale chip recipe comes to us from JodyLynn Stuppy.
INGREDIENTS
1 cup Cashews, soaked
1 Lg. Red Bell Pepper, seeded
1/2 Jalapeno, seeded
1 clove Garlic
1 Lemon, juiced
3 tbsp. Nutritional Yeast
1/4 tsp. BLEND IT UP spice (sometimes I use Cayenne or Chipotle spice)
1/2 tsp. Sea Salt
Dash of Black Pepper
INSTRUCTIONS
Wash & dry Kale. De-stem Kale (use leaf only). Tear Kale into pieces (chip size). Set aside in a large bowl. Combine remaining ingredients into Vita-Mix and blend. I like mine a bit chunky, not totally smooth. Pour mixture over Kale and massage away! Lather up those pieces with that zesty cheesy goodness! Place Kale pieces on Teflex sheets. Dehydrate @ 105 degrees for 12 hours, or until desired crispness.

How long do you soak the cashews for?
Hi Danika! I usually soak them for about 4-8 hours, BUT even 30 minutes works in a pinch. Hope that helps!
Yah, my cashews start growing lil tails within an hour. I’ve always thought that the tails are the sign that they’re ready.
