Shipping Info
Hello! It’s Eva here writing on behalf of the Uncooking 101 team! I’m pretty excited you’re interested in us shipping some goodies to you. We put a lot of love into this whole thing, your package included. I hope this page will answer any questions you may have.
We’ve certainly done our best to offer different options to fit your needs and budget. Inside of the USA, most of you will find that the best value is with the 2-3 day priority mail option because we do include delivery confirmation as well as guarantee on-time arrival. For anywhere in the world (and yes, we will ship anywhere), you’ll find a number of other options that may work nicely for you too.
How quickly are books and DVDs shipped?
We generally ship within 1-2 business days or sometimes even on the same day you placed your order, depending on product availability and order time. Delays, however, could occur for a variety of reasons such as:
- Payment by eCheck; payments must clear before we even receive the final order confirmation to ship your items.
- There’s a problem with the order, and we’ve been unable to reach you.
- You did not provide a correct address for shipping.
- You did not provide a phone number, and we have to contact you regarding the order.
- An item is out of stock. (We do print/bind/record DVDs and books with a trusted and professional local business with fast turnaround, though! Meaning: this would be a rare situation, even when business is hopping!)
What companies do you use for shipping?
You have the option to choose the available options when you check out.
IN THE USA
- USPS Priority Mail Delivery confirmation is included in the price and emailed. Orders will generally go out within 1 business day then take 2-3 business days for shipping time.
- USPS Express Mail Delivery confirmation is included and emailed. Orders will generally go out within 1 business day then take 1 business day for shipping time.
- UPS Ground Delivery confirmation is included and emailed. Orders will generally go out within 1 business day then take 1-5 business days for shipping time.
OUTSIDE THE USA
- USPS First Class Mail This is the slowest and also the least expensive option.
- USPS Priority Mail Orders will generally go out within 1 business day then take 6-10 business days for shipping time. Orders tend to be received faster in large urban areas versus rural locations.
- USPS Express Mail Orders will generally go out within 1 business day then take 3-5 business days for shipping time.
Is there a shipping discount for ordering more than one item at a time?
When possible, absolutely. Just plug in whatever number of items you’d like, and you’ll see the change in price in your shopping cart.
Do you charge handling fees, or are the shipping fees actual prices?
The shipping costs are calculated by the shopping cart to reflect actual costs, which may vary slightly. We do not actually have control over what is charged and assume that because shipping prices do sometimes change that the price will sometimes be in our favor or in yours and not perfect. If the variation is more than a $5 overcharge, we will refund a portion of the price you paid for shipping to reflect a discount.
But regarding handling fees, there are none. We assume we’ll be handling, putting love into, and preparing a package as part of the time expense of shipping items to you!
SPECIAL NOTES REGARDING GUARANTEE AND LIABILITY FOR ORDERS
- Inside the USA, all USPS Priority Mail, USPS Express Mail, and UPS Ground shipments are tracked and guaranteed to arrive safely and on time.
